06 intake question

Disclaimer: I did a search - no results.

I have an '06 GT. Just bought pieces to make an intake (PVC, filter, etc). Grabbed the wrong size PVC, so I have to go back. Anyway, I noticed on the stock flexible tube, right before the inlet, there is a vacuum line of some sort. First off, what is it? Never seen one before... Second. What to do with it? Drill hole in PVC and insert the line? Close it off?

Stupid question I know, but just curious what the line is/does.

I found a pic of one... Small tube pointed out by arrows. Hollow tube, no wires, no sensor.

Odd. I don't wanna pull/plug it... I'll probably end up just drilling a hole, but still curious what it is... Especially since it literally slide out with no effort whatsoever. Like pulling a straw out of a cup.

Just doing a general check of the car. Bought it 2 months ago. Weather is finally nice enough to really get in and check all of it before warranty goes up.

Apparently not. I'm finding more and more pictures of the same tube. Goes from supercharger into the intake "tube" just like mine.

which is necessary to redirect air or there of youre losing metered air and your tune will be off. like i said, it needs to be there.
