So im not very familiar with the whole 3.8 scene but my mom has a 06 grand prix and its been randomly dying on her when shes driving it. It only does it when the car is warmed up and when it does die you have to wait anywhere from 10-20 minutes before it fires back up again. It tries to turn over but never fires off. Ive read up on it and a lot of people are saying it could be a possible CPS (crank position sensor) failure but im still not sure. The car has 95,XXX miles on it. What do you guys recommend and if it is a CPS does anyone know a process on how to replace it? Thank you! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds CPS related to me.
Pull the belts off and remove the pass side tire, then with a HB puller, pull it off and unbolt the sensor and replace.

it does sound cps but its a bear tryin to get off the harmonic balancer. i would try a used ign control module first or have that 1 tested
