06 GP vs 5.0 Mustang

i turn down this street near my house and a 5.0 climbs rite behind me. i'm watching im rearview as were coasting around curves, wondering if he wanted some =P. so we hit a straightway and we're going maybe 60mph and we hit a stopsign as soon as i went across he gunned it to go around me i gassd it...obviously he was alittle ahead of me and suprisingly before i hit 3rd gear im getting back around him. i couldnt tell u if it was a 4cy or what but defenitly the old style 5.0 mustangs, he was alittle modded, had some nice pipes, i think he was just making a bunch of noise to get attention =P but he was probably a 4cyl
 


when i say 5.0 i mean that bodystyle, lol like i said i'm PRETTY sure it was a 4cyl with some exhaust but he got his tale stomped
 
Thats called a FoxBody.... not a 5.0.

And if you can't tell the difference between a 4cyl exhaust note and a 8cyl exhaust note.... :th_shakinghead2:
 


I'm also 99% sure a mustang has never been made with a 4cylinder:th_lipssealed1: They are either v6 or v8. A mustang with inline 4 cylinder would be a 10 second 0-60 car lol

Actually the fox body was available with a 4 cyl. Alot of fox body guys buy them cause they're so lite and you can buy them for cheap. Then they convert them to v-8...
 
My wife's last car was a 2.3 4 banger stang, according to edmunds.com the 4cyl had a whopping 88hp and 134lbs/tq lmao:th_laugh-lol3:

Her car was like 12 or 13 0-60 lmao. the lx foxbody 4cyl's weight is 2700 lbs and with only 88hp...you do the math..
 
I also have a 92 mustang coupe that was a 4 banger now it has a 302 in it but ya everyone wants it due to the weight diff than the GT. So they are made with 4 bangers and back in 79 the mercury capri came with a 4cyl Turbo those were the it then. So maybe it was a turbo 4 cyl mustang.
 


Yea, I had a 83 Mustang LX with a 4 banger. Slow wasn't the word for it. Never could get it past 80. By the time you got there many miles down the road, the road was running out. Shoulda had a V8.:th_doh:
 
your mustang sucked :) my 89 ranger with the 2.3 could get up to about 110 :) man i loved that thing. i could lauch like no other in it. me and an LT1 camero were staged up at a red light one time and i put 1-1.5 to 2 cars on him off the line. he couldent come back around me by the time it went to one lane. about 65mph. man i had some good times in that thing
 
the fastest i had it was about 120-125. i had the speedo strait down where it was pegged. i was going a little faster than what it showed but at that point it was pegged
