05 prix comp edition trans fluid temp question

I just purchased an 05 comp edition/supercharged and I was curious if anyone had any issues with the transmission fluid temp staying hot? any suggestions would be great...

Check your coolant level. Bleed the air out of the cooling system.
It is possible it is time to drop the transaxle pan and change the filter/top off the fluid.

Could just be a bad thermostat. What kind of temps are you seeing?

its about 245 and when it gets hot , when i give it gas it almost studders a bit then kicks in it power.. I will have to look at having trans oil changed,, might help.. the car is awesome though ..thanks you

I thought 220 was high. 245 degrees is burning those clutchpacks up quick. You're probably experiencing the transaxle slipping under load.

Something's definitely wrong there. Anything above 230* will likely be a problem for you. I've been whomping around steep hills for hours in 97* heat and seeing it occasionally peak at 201*. Perhaps your engine is also overheating? As in low on coolant, have a clog in the coolant lines, or stuck thermostat?

I normally see numbers in the 200* range. But maxing at 219*... never near 245*

my 04 comp g has temps that get up to about 224* and thats after a pan drop, i talked to a trans shop about it and they said 224* is a little hot and recommended "Lubegard BG Transmission Fluid Protectant" Lubegard BG Transmission Fluid Protectant on eBay!, i really have only had it in my transmission for a day, i checked once and my temps were down a bit
