Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

'05 GXP w/ 3.69's - WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, TEP trans installed with some vids

Re: My 2005 DCM GXP: with no lowering at all. *damn right no lowering*

Well take some for me then, scooter.

It's a Grand Prix...try google :)

Re: My 2005 DCM GXP: with no lowering at all. *damn right no lowering*

FYI if you want a street able cam go with a pat g specd comp cam or a tr224 remember this will require you essentially tear down the motor. The lifters, trays , and other various items have to be replaced with non dod stuff. It's also a good time for the ls6 oil pump , ls2 timing chain set. If you want to do it right.

Putting on the trans cooler and PS pump this weekend...tune on Sunday.

Yay.

I want a worthlessly large cam just like I had on my 3800. For maximum noise and shaking things loose.

FYI this guy is FOS.

I do know why, and nobody here wants me to "type it out".

Re: My 2005 DCM GXP: with no lowering at all. *damn right no lowering*

I could have a custom cam made, but I'd like to hear why a TTR cam is better than something else?

I don't care about anything comfortable or streetable...break all the parts.

You know where to call when you are ready. ;)

Re: My 2005 DCM GXP: with no lowering at all. *damn right no lowering*

I figure I'd want something quite level on intake and exhaust since there isn't any boost...and not a huge displacement motor.

Or, nitrous cam? More exhaust based movement might be a good plan. Still ironing things out. LS6 IM and LS2 are next on the list for purchase. I'll figure out the crappy manifold issue when I yank the motor and figure out what cam I want. WINTER IS COMING.

Re: My 2005 DCM GXP: with no lowering at all. *damn right no lowering*

Trans Cooler done.

Reptile hates me.

He rolled over my hand with the floor crawler.

We watched WW3, and I dropped a bucket of trans fluid...and didn't even lose anything. Yay, luck.

Trans temps hit 229* last week, so I figured it was a good time to get it done.

Had a "easy" drive home, couldn't even get the trans temps to hit 170*. 167* is what it got too...ended up getting this big, overkill cooler for probably the likes of an RV: http://www.amazon.com/Long-Tru-Cool-Transmission-Cooler-4590/dp/B005XZX8RY

Getting it tuned tomorrow. Then, gonna get tint. God it needs tint. Bad.

Re: My 2005 DCM GXP: with no lowering at all. *damn right no lowering*

I'm regretting that cooler since I can't fit a generic intercooler on the front of my car now.

However, the whole trans not overheating and melting apart thing is a great benefit.

Glad it's working out for ya.

Re: My 2005 DCM GXP: with no lowering at all. *damn right no lowering*

Yeah, working great. I got caught up in traffic with the AC cranked...still only hit 181*.

Very impressed with this thing. Thanks for the linky, maple syrup.
