'05 Cruise Control issue

I recently acquired an '05 GP GT with 88k miles on it.

When I press the button to turn cruise control on the DIC says "CRUISE CONTROL ON" - however none of the speed settings work (ie, set cruise, accel, etc...) so it wont work.

This a common problem with these with hopefully a simple fix?

With my 04 comp G, I pull the lever down on the steer column to activate cruise control, and my HUD and DIC both display "Cruise Speed Set" or "cruise set" or something like that, but then when I let my foot off the gas, the car starts slowing down and cruise control isnt on. Sometimes I pull the lever down and nothing happens, it doesnt register... and then sometimes it takes 3 or 4 times of this to get cruise control to actually set.

I think maybe my switch is just getting worn out.

Anyone know of an online fuse box guide for the '05 GP's or can point me to which fuse controls the CC?

Funny a brake light would keep the cruise from working :)

So I tried to Friborage pull and it started working. 3-4 pulls down got it to set but 'Res' would cancel the speed and not seem to work. Pushing up about 10 times and it seems all is working now - maybe some dust in the connector :)

I have the same issues. It sets most trips first try, but after that it is intermittent. Once set, I can decrease speed pretty successfully, but increase and resume almost always kicks it off, both are the upward motion. Once unit has been on for a while, it is very hard to do anything with, especially any kind of lever movement once set. It will almost always kick off.
It is almost as if something is getting hot inside the brain and is failing. Thinking on replacing unit. But am worried from the forums I see all over the internet, that it is a failure with a great percentage of these style or part number of units.
