Hmm I remember that one day my whole outlook changed too........
(that day was the first time I swapped the pcm and put the 2.8 on with a full tank of E85)

Will have HPTuner in DC once my wife gets back from ND. Plan is to copy and use the E85 tune I have as a starting point for his car. I realize his is XP vs S1X in mine but them cams are not much different. It should be a good starting point at the least.

Transmission from the black car will be kept for rebuild last I talked to Jay.

That red car will clean up nice once the wheels off the black car are on it along with roof rails and other odds and ends. Swapping is a pain in the ass but after seeing both cars and helping jay a little I feel like the red coupe will be the better car.

Havent updated but so far this is my progress my job has had me stuff so its taking me longer than ever to pull the motor out but ever thing mostly finished today it should be finished by the end of the weekend hopefully pics below:

Flexplate was the culprit off the XP cammed motor no bottom end issues thank God

Progress! Got the built motor in along with the rear headers just need to torque the rockers seal the intake mainfold/supercharger and burb the system from there... thanks to grandprixiraqvet and billboost you guys are life savers! my first time torquing the heads and might I say it was a blast I feel very comfortable now torquing them I :cool:

See that silver thing hanging out from the rear of the engine, that's a knock sensor shield. It should be bolted to the motor, not bent out of the way.
Also.. in another picture, I saw that your diff cover has space between it and the trans. What's up with that.

Yes I know bill.. lol that picture that you speak of its a little crack right there but that cracked piece was able to get lined back up with that bolt

Update!

Not so much goin but im finishing up on putting the motor back together hopefully by the weekend i'll have everything assembled along with the gen v swap again this time I'm keeping my stock throttle body n*lq4 was a great addiction but talking to others with high horsepower builds I can keep the stock setup and still build power been crazy busy at work but I should be finished by the weekend
