04 Special Edition GTP?

Jordan

Saw this for sale, and I'm wondering if anyone knows the rarity of it. I'm considering buying it, but I live with my dad and he says I shouldn't buy a car until next spring so I don't have to worry about winter. I haven't talked to him on it yet, though. He has an 07 base right now (and a 98 GT before the accident) and I think he might give me some slack on it since it's a newer grand prix like his. (He seems to refuse the thought of 97-03 because of the rocker panels rusting out)

This is a GTP special edition with 135k and new tires. Has 5 button DIC as well. She's asking $5500. I've seen a special edition GP before, but not in this color. Which seems kindof odd, because everybody and their grandma seems to have a grand prix or grand am here. Anyone got any information on it?

tl;dr: I want to buy this car, what do you think

Do it. As said, the rare options are that special to most, but It is a harder to find car, the SEs were only limited options in 04 and 05 and I've only seen them in that color blue.

Pretty much the color and the badges and the rims will be the selling point. The other things like SE lip etc can all be added on down the road if you we're to get a different GP.

Yup i drive mine Daily. Its the same thing as a 2004 GTP. The Differences are the Hood (with the Heat extractors) and the Wheels The Color shown is called Superior Blue and was only Painted on 105 Cars strictly limited to the B2E RPO Code

They are a Limited Production they were prodeced in White, Black, Maroon, and Blue. The Blue is the most Rare .

MY GTP SE is a One of One with the color/options.

Alright, thanks for the replies everyone. I'm pretty sure once my dad gets back to work, I'll see what he thinks, and see about getting it if he's up for it with me. Looking forward to having a supercharged 3.8 again, and the options on this.

Not sure if double posts are allowed, but I've got an update. I was going to see it and get it today, the person I talked to said in the afternoon or tonight would be a good time to come, but not earlier. I called all afternoon, and she finally called back an hour ago and she sold it. Oh well. :(

Grand Prix are a dime a dozen anyways keep looking you'll find one. Never get attached to a car especially if you haven't signed the paper work stuff can always change.

wow so she played you?...she shoulda told you that someone else was looking at the car before you if she didnt. i would atleast just so whoever was coming after expected that it might be sold

Yeah, I actually asked if there was anybody else looking at the car when I spoke with her originally and she said no. :th_shrugshoulders:

Money talks if some one calls you and say hey can I look at your car now I'm interested I have the finances for and so on. You can't tell me you wouldn't have accepted it. Reality is to many people bull**** when trying to buy a car, to many low ballers and people who lead you on.

If she would of said yes.. It could potentially change your mindset and you might of said no thank you or took it the wrong way and looked elsewhere

i mean atleast have the courtesy to tell the other person that the car is being looked at and asked if they are gunna top the other offer or something. u cant just tell someone that no one else is looking and then before they come to look you tell them its sold.

When money is involved kindness goes out the window just saying no point in ranting about her selling it to someone else or not informing OP that someone was looking at as well. What's done is done :)
