04+ HID Reverse Lights

[Dthreap]

Items Required:
2 Ballasts
2 H1 Bulbs
Wire Cutters
Wire Strippers
Butt Connectors
Relay (time delayed so you don't always strike going to park or drive)
Red & Black Wire
Add a fuse (25A)
2 T-connectors
Optional
Toggle Switch
Solder Iron
Solder (if you want to solder the switch wires)


Power from fuse box -> 25A Add A Fuse -> Relay Pin 87
Relay Pin 85 -> Ground
Relay Pin 30 -> Power to the ballasts
Reverse Light wire ( green wire on 04+) -> Use a T-connector to connect another wire to the green wire -> the new wire -> Relay Pin 86


Optional For Toggle Switch:
Power wire from Fuse Box -> Toggle Switch -> T-connector into the Pin 86 Wire


Here's my Wiring Diagram

For the replay ground and ballast ground just loosen 2 of your spoiler bolts and place them underneath then re-tighten.

When you run the wire through the car just have it come up through the passenger access hole, down the trim and up into the trunk. You can hide it pretty well.

You guys have no idea how bright this is if you're driving behind him... We've tested it on two asshat tailgaters and both times was very effective haha

Thanks! I was gonna get these to use with my tailgater switch but that got ****ed up so I decided against it.

With your wiring to get rid of the problems try a better ground, bigger Guage wire, and diodes to make sure you don't have cross interferience on your switch
