this happend a few weeks ago but i figured i would post. ive been dieing to run one of these for a while cause stock they are pretty comparable. but i had a few goodies on him. intake and i just re gaped my plugs (had them wrong) and it was running a little stronger. from a rolling punch at about 10 or 15 my front bumper was about at his back tire and i gave him the hit. instantly i started pulling like nothing. gotta love torque from the roots style. and i gotta say there intakes sound pretty mean at full throttle. anyways i pull up even with him (1 car lenght) and contuie to put my back bumper almost at his front bumper just in first (1.75-2 car lenghts) then went into second and contuied to pull. shut down around 70 with me a full 2 car lenghts out. so pretty much that is 3 car lenghts from 10-70 with me giving him the hit. i was very impressed to say the least. now i just gotta find one of the new ones cause they have like 280bhp :th_king-normal:
 


Nice kill!! I like to read what everyone else has ran against so that I know what I actually have a chance against. Either way I still have never had a good chance to run run em with anyone.
 
haha thanks and we pretty much have the same mods except i dont have the t-stat so that should give you a good comparison
 


yeah a while back a buddy of mine when he had his gtp slightly modded he raced a altima se-r ,but the guy in the altima told us it was a nismo edition i didnt know wut that meant not a nissan fan but looked it up comes with performance exhaust an air intakes an a few other things so yeah it moved bad
 
yea its like nissans performance thing. like a saleen for a mustang. i would think with intake and exhaust it would ride out pretty well tho. they seem like pretty healthy breathing cars to began with and put an intake and exhaust on that thing that motor is scraming
 
yea well thats were those motors really shine anyways. top end. and with a good intake and full exhaust with problew some suspension i figure it would roll out pretty well..plus the 6 speed to keep it in the power band..
 


Nice kill on the Maxi... did the autolite 104's really help (guessing with KR)? the only other mod I have different from yours is mufflers replaced with thrust 25 in glasspacks oh and the manual fan switch ;) (really helps in traffic)

Nismo Edition is all cosmetic the performance stays the same.
I.e: Exhaust "tips", front/rear lip... Things like that.
The Se-r's are pretty quick.
Should be a even race.
 
i ran an altama the other day and well either the first one sucked or he was moded cause again i gave him the jump but only pulled half a car in first, had to switch to his lane (i started half a car up) then he pulled back just a little bit then by 80 i started to pull away and by 95 i might have had a car on him. it looked brand spankin new tho, maybe it was the newer ones with more power. the intake noise sounded the same and all, so either they both had intakes or they just sound mean as hell stock. either way it was a lot faster than the first one.

I Checked out the new nismo 350z at car show this year.
Thoroughly disappointed..
The sticker was 15k more and all it had was wing, lips, skirts, interior
Same otherwise.

The maxima is heavier. That might be why the altima stuck with you better.
 
or either better spark plugs :) haha idk. and it was the same car, i get them mixed up sometimes :) thats retarted about nismo tho, whats the point, mine as well take it to west coast customs. ha 15k more i want a turbo, spray, ejection passenger seat..
 
I agree but that sadly is what the market for cars is turning into..
I mean look at the Dodge Nitro and all these cars coming out now and days with chrome and huge wheels.. Who is that geared to? It's all about looks these days. Thats unfortunate.. Ejection passenger seat, Hell I would want a cloaking device for a 15k cosmetic mod...
