Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

MY remote start has slowly but surly started to fail. It went from working fine to taking 2 or 3 times to get the car to start. Then when i tried to use it the car would die and i had to disconnect the battery in order to start the car with the key in the ignition. any one have any ideas how to fix this. the car is an 07 GP GT
(I did just put a sound system in the car but disconnecting the amp power wire doesn't change anything. and this all started weeks before the instalation)

can an admin edit title to 04+

Have you checked your battery in the remote? Locks still work?
Have you checked your settings for the remote start on the dic?

nope CEL isent on. but even if the car disabled the remote start me pressing the buttons shouldn't cause the car to die and not start untill the battery is disconnected.

Hello. I have had this problem with my 06 GT. Doing some detective work I found out that the wife's remote would work the RM starting system perfectly. My remote was erratic at best. Problem was not the remote's battery but the padding under the remote's circuit board had compressed over time thus not allowing good contact when the remote start button was compressed. My solution was to find some thin non conductive foam, cut it to fit under the circuit board, reassemble unit. It worked great for about 6 months then symptoms reappeared again. New foam again now working again. My remote takes a lot of abuse being in my britches pocket all day long. My wifes remote stays in her purse most all the time, less abuse. You might give this a try, It is a cheap fix to.

HOPE THIS HELPS
