Actually I would suggest a 3M squeegee for stickers, works better IMO than other ways. I use the I.D. when I can't find mine. like this-

If you look up any heating or ductwork supply house near you, they will have the tool as well, I have about 5 of em in my van, wish ya lived closer, I'd drop a few off to ya haha
 
Looks good! i like the gold with the purple, sets it off nicely

you can also wrap your credit card with a soft towel/detail cloth too
 


O purple...o its not purple...maybe pictures make it look that way...I dunno

Its more of a reddish like cherry and the official GM color is called dark cherry metallic
