04+ fuel pump upgrade issues?!

Ok so has anyone else got an upgraded fuel pump for their 04+? Someone posted a write up and the can looked nothing like mine... The stock pump went to the filter and from the filter the fpr clicked into the filter and then from the the line went to another fitting on the filter to the out of the canister... The write up canister had the fpr attached to the top of the canister... If someone could give me a part number of the canister or what donor vehicle had one that will work... Because I keep having trouble with making it all work correctly... It would be a lot easier with the other style can, or, if you re used the stock for that click fit into the stock filter it would helpful, all the part stores said the filter on my WASNT serviceable at all... I wish I had pictures of the messed up stock setup... Id rather not convert to a return system, I'm using a 320 lph e-85 AEM pump. Can I eliminate the regulator and just dead head the pump? Are the 04+ pumps pulse width modulated? I'm running 80# injectors also. Any input would be helpful. I've already replaced the lines i used 4-5 times because the j30r6 I was told was e85 compatible kept splitting due to the pressure, and the 7r did too. Found r9 at an orileys but it wasn't submersible so I finally got j30r10 off line for a measly 17 dollar a damn foot.

04 (and 05?) Have external filters. The others dont. They have one line running the entire length, where as the 04/05? have 3 total.

Besides that, I have no knowledge besides from when I put a big pump in my Comp G canister, and ran all stainless AN line from the pump to the fuel logs.

I used the gates hose from oriellys with my e85 aem 320lph. I converted to a external filter, using an to gm fuel line connections for the stock gm filter with built in regulator to the stock line. If I had more time I would've just ran with fuel rails and a -8 ptfe hose all the way up and use the stock line for a return. And yes 06+ have a in canister regulator unlike 04s

Well my 05 canister looked different than the one in the write up completely... I think I got it figured out with a bit of dremeling the stock for to make a line fit over it and then double clamping, I've had the can out like 20 times lol. Takes me literally 3 mins now...
