Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

Someone compared my wheel well gap to the gap between Laurence Fishburne's teeth today and that was the last straw

Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

That's a very good comparison

Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

Ordered stainless allen bolts and fender washers for my valve covers, cutting the heads off the original bolts and re-using the retainers

Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

Pulled everything apart to replace a wheel bearing this morning, and I rounded a bolt off trying to get it separated from the knuckle. Great. Ordered new bolts, put the car back together and backed it off the lift. When I parked, I looked at the dash and my ABS lights were on. Probably the biggest durrr moment I've had, I put it all back together without plugging the wheel speed sensor back in. As if that wasn't bad enough, the end of the cable was in between the rotor and the hub, and while there was enough room to where it didn't get torn up, the end was too big to just pull out. Yanked the wheel off, pulled on the rotor, got the cable free and plugged in, wheel back on and torqued and off the stand/parked in the lot within 7 minutes:cool:

Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

Hoping to have the new bolts in for the wheel bearing in by tomorrow, and the springs get here Friday. Barring any more issues, I should be lowered by the end of next week.

Oh, and I think my fuel pump is going out.

Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

Yay fuel pump! Good thing you have a access door. Pumps are cheap.. Well you buy just the pump/sock etc and swap it and avoid overpaying for a canister

Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

Any recommendations on a good pump? I want the reliability of the stock one, and I have no plans that will require a higher flowing one

Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

Re: '04 Comp G - KR free for the first time ever

Oops I forgot

EBay item#361117118582. same one I've been running. I didn't use the corrugated hose they provide instead I grabbed some fuel rated hose from oreileys (get the good one rated for high psi) and two fuel injection hose clamps

And go ahead and get either a Casper or racetronix fuel pump rewire.

Boom saved you Money

You can choose to either reuse or replace your fuel level sender if you choose

Thanks Red! Oh, this happened today

Shhhh... Just give it a while for the springs to settle. Lol plus I need an alignment BAD, and I'm thinking about getting some spacers since these rims have virtually no offset

Now about that window tint..
