'04 Comp G - took a stiff one in the rear

Re: '04 Comp G - Needs moar little ****, again

Bought some ZZP 10.5mm plug wires (got them sorta cheap and they're red, so that'll bring the rest of the red out under the hood). Taking the car in on Monday to have the front bumper and everything painted and put on along with having my rear bumper fixed and painted and having the SPO spoiler painted and put on. Then the tinted brake light and fogs will go in

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

Baller, I need to replace my front bumper and have that painted and grab so new mirrors just need a new oem bumper to pop up priced right on ebay.

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

Well, the car is going into the body shop after school today. I started it up this morning and heard a rattling underneath from the exhaust. EFFIN GREAT. If anything is rusted or wrong with the catback at all, I'm putting on an SLP catback. After listening to several videos, it seems to be the best sounding complete catback available (ZZP is just too damn loud) and it's in stainless. I'd make one up, but I just want a quick bolt-in solution that'll last and sound good

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

Well, it was just the heat shield on my resonator. After yanking that off, I found out the top of my res is all rusted to hell. Still gonna pick up the SLP catback eventually, but now that the rattling is gone, it's a bit less of a priority. The good news is that when I had it on the lift, it blew my teacher's mind how clean and rust-free the car really was

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

Thanks! Haha the Daytona is just my sister's DD, the Comp G is my daily/project/pain in the ass. Excited to get it back with all the SPO goodies and fresh paint! Should have it home Friday

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

After seeing a post on here, I found this: http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.co...ac-grand-prix-dual-exhaust-tubing-system.html I'm thinking maybe this, in 3" stainless, with Borla Pro XS mufflers and SPO tips with the 18" Magnaflow resonator they sell (also stainless). Does anyone know of a better setup? Specifically a better resonator? I live in northern Illinois so nothing but stainless is an option, and I've been told the Magnaflow is raspy and has a lot of drone.

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

What the hell lol. Looked all over, only thing I found over 28" was 2" inlet and outlet. Well, thanks lol

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

Probably gonna piece it together over the next couple months, tires for the SE rims are first priority for next paycheck lol

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

That's what I did. Bought the piping, reused my Borla muffs, swapped the resonator and swapped to bigger tips

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

All I have is the stock exhaust, but it still sounds good for now. I'm gonna order a few parts a month and put it all together at once. Everything priced out, I'm looking at just under $750 in parts

Re: '04 Comp G - soon to be shiny again!

Called the guy today to check up on the car, and it's completely done! Going to pick it up this afternoon
