04+ 2 bar map with an L67 car

last week I swapped to an 04+ 2 bar map on a L26 top swapped L67 engine. when I did the swap my fuel gauge showed empty with the low fuel light on, I got a code for P0463, and I got a check engine light with code P1635, which is for 5 volts reference for the tps, map, maf and fuel gauge. so this week, to verify the map was causing the issue, I put the L67 map sensor back in, and the codes went away and the fuel gauge started working. I don't understand why a map sensor would cause that issue.
 


I wired in some quick disconnects to try changing the wire arrangement, and swapped the position of 2 wires with no change. my buddy said not to change the location of one of the wires because voltage going there would have fried the map sensor, I forgot which spot it was. here is a picture that I used for reference.






 
What year is your pcm/car? I just ran into this issue several days ago. Having the wrong Map sensor causes all sorts of electrical problems. Need pcm programmed to match map. On mine it would cut fuel while cranking, poor shifting, and rough idle.

So you have a series 3 car/pcm and top swapped to a series 2 s/c and map? Did you program the pcm for the different map? Can you give me specific years and I can post wiring info.
 
The car is a 2001 gtp that was originally supercharged. I took the supercharger of and put the L26 intake on with an 04+ 2 bar map sensor. I'm getting ready to put a turbo on. The tune was already set up for the supercharger and 2 bar map sensor
 
On a 2001 GTP the MAP sensor wiring on the car is as follows:
orange/black- sensor ground
light green- sensor signal
grey- 5v reference
All three go to the PCM.

With key on, engine off you should read around 4.5v for N/A map and 2.5v for S/C map.

I didn't check the voltages, but this seems to be the winning combination. the grey wire on my car does not look grey at all, but luckily I was able to identify the other two and plug them where they should have gone in the first place. my map readings are showing 37, which is what it read with the supercharged L67 map.

double check it was a 2 bar "mini" map

I double checked the part number on the map sensor when I bought to verify that it was a 2 bar. Just an update, I drove 150 miles with the map sensor wired like the previous suggestion, and the map readings seemed to fluctuate like normal, no check engine light, and the fuel quantity indicator worked like normal. Based on that, I would say the problem has been solved.
