How far should the tab at the end of the hose fit into the 2 grooves on the filter housing? I just changed my air filter and cannot get the tab all the way into the groove. I did not pay attention to how far it was on before I took the tube off. Will try and post a pic later.
 


this is the farthest I can get it pushed on:

AS far as you can push it on, but it will gradually work it's way out over the course of thousands of miles. I re-adjust and tighten mine back down every once and a while.
 
Thanks, I remember it being kinda tight and awkward the last time I changed it, but don't recall how far the I got the hose pushed on. I must be getting more cautious as I get older, DOH!
