02 GTP Vs G6 GT

So I was rollin home from work on 210 highway goin to the gas station...and a red G6 pulls up next to me at the stop light, light turns green i just give it a little gas and hes hangin with me about 55 so i speed up to 65, he does the same and pulls up beside me...and so i give him a 3 honk and we both take off and I just left him all the way up to 100 then i let off the gas and brake cuz its around a section the cops like to hide around and so he stays behind me and we hit another red light, he rolls down his window and asks what im runnin so i told him im runnin a SC 3800...he's like "F*** you" and rolled up his window lol

wasnt a bad race considering he didnt catch up till i put on the brakes
 


What motor and what year was he running is whats important. My buddy had an 06 G6 GTP and I could only put 1/2 car length on him. By the "Fúck you" response, Im assuming the 2.4L 4 cyl.
 
Why lies? My women has a 05 G6 GT, its quick and has balls, stock to stock Id have to say driver mod, gtp might still pull ahead after the long run. The G6 has NO problem laying a long patch of rubber, been there did that DONT TELL HER! She wont race me so I can determine how bad my car will rape her. But those cars aint no slouch. Id call huge bs if a GP said they beat a G6.

My GP is a base N/A and im pretty sure the only G6 that will beat it stock would HAVE to be the GTP. The GT, Base which ever thats not the GTP or the GXP will loose.


For the topic nice kill bro and im pretty sure the guy said FU and then was wishing he had got the GTP version or the GXP lol.

IMO GP > G6 and GP > Grand AM
 
The stock G6 GT's are at around 220hp and near 500lbs lighter. Ive never raced a GT so I dont know how slow or not-slow they are.
 


u guys have obviously never driven a g6. I have access to one 24/7 I know they are not slow. But chow for now ladies
 
They aren't much lighter, maybe 100 lbs. They don't have anywhere near the torque of a GP GTP either. I've driven a couple of them and they would get smashed.

You're going to be pretty unsure in a hurry when someone in a V6 G6 decides he needs to merge while you are wearing your race face.
 


2006 g6 gt is a 3.5l with 200hp, same as 06+ impala's,
g6 gt is 3.9l with 240 hp, or if its a convertable 227hp cause more restrictive exhaust systems(so i read with quick search on google) and i see 3:69 gear ratio!!?
some more reading says 2009 3.5l got 220hp..? change something? and 3:29 gear ratio
im gonna race me one on these grocery getters with my grocery getter one day!

Im kinda sure the FU was for the fact he had no idea what I was runnin since I debadged the car lol he claimed he was about to drop a LS1 in the car lol (I shoulda raced him for cash)

Apparently you've never had a stock GTP run a 3.6 DOHC VVT car. It'd be a close race down low till they hit the highway and I'd bet money on it the G6 would start pulling.
