02 GTP Tune up time.

I recently bought my 2002 GP GTP and it is in need of a good tune up. Before I start down this road I guess I need to state that as of now the car just has a drop in K&N panel filter and the poly dog bone mounts. Eventually I'd like to drop pulley sizes to 3.5 or 3.6, but I know I've got quite a few goodies to buy before I can do that! From just cursory searching it appears the NGK TR6 or TR6ix are going to be my best bet for the car is it right now? Are there any benefits to the oversized 'performance' wires? Also, would it be best to drop a 180 degree thermostat in while I'm at it?

stock car, stock pulley? TR55ix are fine plugs. gap to 0.055"
you can change to 180 t-stat, you'll still end up running at about 190 degrees because the fan turn on temps will still be stock.
if you want to run a smaller pulley get a 3" downpipe then find a DHP 1.0 PCM, you'll be able to run a 3.5" pulley just fine.
