02 gtp trans to 03 gtp trans?

I have the "no OD" situation, and I don't have $1600 for a rebuild, $2000 for a re-manufactured, or $1200 for a clone that will probably result in the same problem, so I'm asking can I find an 03 4t65e-HD for my 02 gtp since GM realized that the 4th gear stripping was a major problem after all those years and finally hardened the 4th gear... any suggestions?
 


you can get a 03 to work in a 02 but you have to repin the connector and use the old 02 range switch there is a link on club gp to show u how to do it and what pins to move it would be smarter to just get a 02 and not have to mess with the wiring on the car and buy a 4th gear hub and replace it while the trans is out
