02 Grand Prix

Hey everyone we are just getting started on our 02 Pontiac Grand Prix. Since this is only the basic 3.8 we decided that we are going to put a show quality stereo system in it. We are shooting for first place so everyone in the Grand Prix world keeps tabs on us. We will be adding more pics and information about what is going and where we are at. This is what is going in the car in the next 6 weeks:
SUBS: 2--10W6V2 - JL Audio 10" DVC in a sealed enclosure ran by a JL audio G-MAX at 2ohms with 1000 watts rms.
Inside: all Infinity 5.25 in the door w/1"tweeter, 2 way 6X9's ran with audio control EQ and a 475a - Infinity 4 Channel Full-Range Amplifier. All components ran at about 65-80 watts rms.
Power source: Yellow top Optima Battery with a Stinger 1 Farad cap. Haven’t quit decided what to run for power 2g or 4g.
If anyone has any ideas that would help me attain my goals on building a 1st place stereo without spending outrageous amounts of money let me know, I will put your name in the final description and where to check out your ride!!!

For sure :th_winking: Im stoked!!! My wife doesnt quite understand but I built a Show stereo in my 97 grand am like 10 years ago and it was awesome. I cant wait till its done im doing all the custom work myself including the enclosures. Fufilling!

Sounds like a dame good project... Just make sure to go a little over the top by building a custom plexi enclosure or something extra if you wanna win a show catagory! But JL is always the way to go..
 
Keep it clean and 1 of a kind...you'll win easier that way...don't have to go fast to win shows :D

When it comes to audio, money is the key.

Not sure if your going for the "Most DB" or loudness, ect.. but one good 15" will put that system to shame.
