02 Grand Prix Tranny to Bonneville

I currently have an 01Bonneville with a bad tranny and an extra transmission from a 02 grand Prix. How difficult would it be to put it in the Bonneville/what would need to be done?

"Should" be a direct swap. They both should be 4T65e's and the same gear ratio.

They are both NA cars right?

Although the trans mounts might be in a different spot?

When I took a trans out a 99 bonnevile and put it in my 97 gtp I had no issues the brackets needed will bolt in the back if the trans with no issues.

Don't the bonnevilles have like a 2.86 gear ratio or something

best way is to tell by the id tag on the back of the trans

just becareful.....the bonneville HAS to have the webbing in the back of the trans. if it does not have the webbing, yes it will bolt up however you crack the back of the case....

Bonnevilles have either 2.86 or 3.05 gearing if they're NA.
