02 Grand Prix Constantly Misfires



If the MAF is bad, unplugging it then starting the car should reveal a better situation as the vehicle will be in basic settings aka limp mode... A plugged cat will cause a poor MAF reading...can't get air in if you can't get it out. Plus, it's a free check to verify the cat isn't the issue.

thats a hell of a deal for 30 free shipping. go for it. once you put the new maf in clear your codes and see if any come back. if you dont own a scanner you can un hook the battery for 30 minutes.

Lol thats a test all of us GM techs do. I remember one day when it was -11* out and windy ass hell I noticed my 97 was running like crap that morning and got a code. Said it was the MAF so I tapped it and it went rrrrrrrrrrrrr purrrrrrrr. Tapped again and rrrrrrrrrrrr then purrrrrr lol.


Do not get a reman unless it is an AC Delco one because other remans aren't calibrated properly. Like I said, the brand new Delphi MAFs work very well.
