01' GTP Front End Clunk

At low speed like approaching an intersection, or in parking lots, I get a clunk when making a right turn on a slight down grade when I hit a bump in the pavement. I've read some of the other posts, and have a recent new sway bar (1 year old) and just put new link bushing kits on both sides and it's still there. Other posts suggest check the strut mount for looseness, broken springs, etc. Does that sound like what I should be looking for? Gonna put it back on stands and look it over again this morning.

This is driving me nuts.....can't find it.

Sure, those are all correct, but also check the ball joint and bushings between the control arm and the engine subframe. Tie rod ends MIGHT do it.

I was posting on another thd about an SES light and this got into the thread too. I found the left front control arm bushing bad letting the edge of the bushing retainer hit the frame. When I pry up and down on it, I can see the movement as well as a place on the frame where it's hitting. Makes sense when you figure it always happens in a right turn on a down grade when the body wants to roll toward that corner of the car. Everything else on the front end is tight as it can be, tie rod ends, ball joints, etc.

Thanks,

Steve
