i just got me 99 grand prix so am going to try it just need to find a DIC

i had a 99 and sold it to my brother mine is a 2000 =-( not to lucky let me know

Man you're one of the lucky ones! If I recall, on the 97-99, the extra plug is sitting behind the DIC you have now. Pop off your dash bezel, push the two tabs on each side of your DIC, and pull it out, and look around in there for a spare black plug. It may be wrapped up in some foam. If you have it, all you have to do is unplug yours, find a digital one from a 98-03 GT, and plug it into the spare plug. Let me know what you find.
