Its 9/11/11, the 10 yrs since those dumb ass terrorists attacked us downing not only 4 planes but the twin towers too. how are you affected by what happened that day and what do you remember? I remember it like it was yesturday i swear time has flown but i was just a 5th grader and we left gym class early cuz the assistant principal had to make an announcement. She came into my class and said some planes hit some buildings in manhatten ( i was living in NY at the time). Us being kids we didnt really care too much about it but my teacher was shocked i saw it on her face. Then out of nowhere kids started going home early next thing i knew i was going home early too. It was about 11am and as my mom is driving home theres mad traffic everywhere mind you i was living on Long Island about 30-40min from manhatten and all i see is fire trucks speeding everywhere. We get home and my grandmotha has the news on and everyone is just crowded in her room watchin it all. There was nothin but smoke and people just running, cryin, i saw damaged buildings and everything. It was crazy. They replay what happened and i see as the planes hit the buildings and both buildings just collapes. It was definately some scary stuff. All day it was on tv basically every news channel. So that day def was one of the worst if not the worst for America. God bless those nearly 3,000 who died including the 343 brave rescue crew members. And god bless the families too who lost someone. I also was able to go to ground zero a year later when they had those twin lights where the towers stood and it was a breathtakin sight to see.

I remember I didn't find out about it until the next day. Was too young to understand the significance of it.

I remember evering thing. I was at my last job as a designer when I got the news. I went to the cafeteria and they had a live feed of the firts tower and saw thew second plane hit. Made my blood boil. And now we (our government) if afraid they may hurt another countries feelings and kiss their ass and keep apologizing for Americans. It would be great if we (USA) would grow a pair like when Reagan was ion office. Thanks to all the pussies that have been in office after him. At least Bush had the nuts to say **** you!

I was in 4th grade and i just remember my teacher coming in and telling us what happened, no pictures were drawn to explain, no tv's were turned on, we were just sent home....being at home watching it happen on tv and my mother was freaking out cuz the planes belonged to the airline company my uncle works for...he got lucky because he just happened to call in sick, and he was suppose to be on the plane that crashed into tower 1. we couldnt get ahold of him and we were all freaking out.

I was a senior in HS when IT happened....At first when someone told me a plane hit the WTC I thought " What an Idiot. How do you not see that freakin building there." Then as we turned on the tv and started seeing coverage we found out it was a terrorist attack. The whole world changed that day....

I know this sounds mean guys but remembering that day and going through what happend the day every year is like letting the terrorist win... thats what they wanted... It was a horrible thing but this country needs to move on

i was in 4th grade at the time and i remember being in class and all of a sudden there was an announcement saying we were being sent home. i got home and watched it with my parents but i didnt realize what was going on untill days later because i was only 9

I remember waking up in the morning after my night shift and getting on the internet, get a msg from someone on icq mentioning the wtc, trying to use cnn and it was down. Shortly after loosing my job because of this incident, Joined the Canadian military after that for better job security.

I was sitting in 7th grade Tech class building wooden Co2 cars...I remember the gym teacher running in telling everyone how the Twin Towers were bombed and World War 3 had started...turned on the TV at 9:00 sharp and three minutes later watched the 2nd plane hit the other tower. The intercom came on and told every teacher to turn off the TV's if they were on but we just kept watching...

Simple amazing I can remember that like it was yesterday but I couldn't tell you what I did last Tuesday besides work...

i remember sitting in 6th grade classroom doing math work, and the principal called a school assembly and we watched the second plane hit while all in the gym.

I remember being late to school and when I got there they ask me where I had beef. I told them they need to turn a tv on and find almost was suspended until
They realized,

I was installing siding in Arlington Va. The home owner came out and said a plane hit one of the towers I thought maybe it was a weather related incident or something. Then she ran out and said another one hit the other. Then the pentagon got hit and I left Arlington and went home. Could see Jets all over the sky. what a tragic day

I remember moving with my family, and we stopped by at my uncles house.
The grown ups (i was 11) were talking in the kitchen, and i was channel surfing.
I remember watching most if it live. Man that was sad. I also remember watching the first Late Show with David Letterman after the attack, that sheet was deep. :(

I was teacher and adult education course news was filtering in I thought maybe it was a joke. I wheeled a TV in and we watched the news in silence, stunned my Class clown student got up from his chair knelt by the desk and started praying, the whole room followed suit. I was standing there touched impressed and stunned. The president of the school was walking down the hall he looked in called me out and asked me how that started I told him and he told me I had to stop them. I refused then he said he would go in and stop them he believed in God but was afraid we could get in trouble if it was found out they were praying. I blocked the door and said; "Gary I apologize I am sorry that I am going to make you fire me." He asked; "why would I fire you." I replied; "you try to stop them and I will take my right foot and kick you right it the teeth." He threatened to write me up but allowed them to pray. He ended up just giving me a stern talking too, which I blew off.
