    Gearshift sqeaking

    My 01 GTP makes a pretty annoying squeak noise when I move the shifter in any direction. It sounds like a cheap plasticy squeak, but I am thinking it could be the cable or linkage underneath. Is this a common occurrence? The car has 95k miles on it.
