• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1989 F150, Back to life, back story and PICS

Hey guys, I figure I'll go ahead and start a thread on my old Ferd. Believe it or not, this was my baby before the GTP came along, then the GTP was bought and became the focus of my Gearhead OCD for about 4 years. The story is my Grandpa bought the truck brand new when I was 4 and slapped a...

Anyone heard of this? We need to reset our password?

Read about this on FSB, are we impacted by this? https://news.slashdot.org/story/16/06/14/2232235/hacker-steals-45-million-accounts-from-hundreds-of-car-tech-sports-forums https://www.leakedsource.com/blog/verticalscope

    Oil Pressure too high???

Hey guys, I installed a Glowshift oil pressure gauge and it's showing ~85-90 PSI at cold idle. After about 10-15 min of driving it'll drop to ~50-55PSI when it warms up a bit. Glowshift is saying this is totally acceptable. What do you guys think? I've changed the oil filter to be safe.

    CS144 Alternator Upgrade

Hey Guys, I've had a few ask to do a write up on the CS144 swap, and I haven't really found information on it in all one place, so here goes. The CS130D has an internal fan which makes the entire thing run hotter causing reliabilty problems. The CS144 has an external fan and the case is bigger...

    Splicing into factory temperature sensor.

Hey guys, I'm adding some pillar gauges to the car and I'll have oil temp, oil pressure, and vacuum. My head unit runs Torque Pro, which runs about 50 PID per second, so it can basically scan sensors 50 times per second. If I'm able to remove 2 of the sensors from the dashboard as they call...

Poly Bushings on GMPP trailing arms.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a little project I've been working on for a bit. I picked up some round (not square) GMPP trailing arms, and decided to go for some poly bushings. A lot of people swear by the UMI and BMR arms, but the arms themselves don't make that much of a difference the...

    My son's birthday present

My boy's birthday present is done. He turns 4 next Friday, and I had previously worked a deal with my neighbor for a swing set. We built onto it today, and it came out great. I used all treated lumber, and I've had 1,000 pounds on the new level and it didn't move. Here's some before...

So am I missing something? Trailing Arm question...

So I recently found out that the GMPP square trailing arms and Dorman trailing arms are the same damned thing. I found out there was square GMPP arms last night, and did some digging then found a thread on an Impala SS that upgraded his stock suspension to BMR. Important thing is he included...

    AVT box for DHP?

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but a search didn't show any results. Has anyone tried using an AVT box to connect to DHP? AVT is the company that built all the hardware for DHP, and still produces newer versions of it all...including a USB version...for $260. I seriously thinking...

    Alternator Gurus...

Hey gurus, if there are any of you out there, lol. I swapped in a CS144 into my 2000 GTP and all has been well for the most part. This tax season I replaced it and upgraded the replacement to a 200amp kit I picked up from Alternatorparts.com . The kit included a stator, rectifier, and new...

So it's time for a smaller pulley.

Hey guys, I've searched a bit and haven't really found much on anyone having a similar setup to mine. So I'll started a thread. I have a low mileage L32 swapped in, with ER rockers, SSACs, FWI (Big whoop), and a Reptile tune. The tune was the last thing I got, and it should be good for a...

    Lower tensioner bolt missing

Hey guys, I need some help for a buddy of mine at work. He's missing the lower bolt of the tensioner. I'm assuming it's the lower bolt that holds the shock-like thingy to the tensioner assembly, since he has no tension. I haven't seen it in person, so that is what I gather. Does anyone know...

Sounds like a wheel bearing, but I'm not sure...

So my mother in law just bought this 99 GP GT, and it seems pretty solid. A few problems here and there, nothing I can't handle. It sounds like it's got a bad wheel bearing in the back while cruising, but they're both tight once they're in the air. The PO blamed it on the GXP brakes he put in...

    -20% LTFTs What else?

Hey guys, I've been chasing small problems with my car, an oil leak, exhaust leak, and such. At the beginning of it all my LTFTs were -10%, 02 sensor is a Denso about 2 months old. Now they're at -20% at idle and around the same at 2500 RPM, STFT's are ~10-15% at 2500 RPM and hoover +\- 3% at...
