• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

gosh dang deer!!!!

Yea, Im kinda worried about this... I just finished installing my stereo into it, headunit, amps, sub, and from and rear speakers... Probably have over 2k in that alone. if they total it out I hope I can rip a lot of that out....

You can. They won't give you much if any additional value. Before settling take it out. I wouldn't let them have the car until I had everything off of it I wanted. If they take it and then total it, its unlikely you will get to take those things out.

Yep, I guess tomorow I will be out in the snow pulling stereo stuff out... Yippy... Just got everything installed finally too....

I got everything out minus the cables in about an hour this morning. :) Been sitting at home waiting for the damn towtruck to come pick it up... Did go pick up my rental car that insurance provides...

Apparently they call this comparable to a 13 year old 190,000 mile car.... :)

Mind ****. They do it so your happier with them for getting you a nice rental, then they screw you over on the amount owed and total the car. They think if they make you really happy, the blow when they bend you over won't be sooooo bad. lol

Well i know what I paid for the car, so as long as I get that I wont feel to bad... I guess they finally wised up though and reather than sending it to the body shop they are sending it to their inspection station to see if its even worth fixing. Im betting its gonna be a loss. so now Im looking for a new ride, you know something responsible like an Audi A4, BMW 330, Saab 95,or something like that... :)

This rental is mine for up to a month, or however long it takes them to decide to total my GTP.

They should provide a rental after they total it for a reasonable amount of time while you shop for a replacement. Some places might give 3 days, some a week, I have known people who had to fight like hell for any. I might start looking now in preparation.

I'd buy the car back for cheap, fix it and drive it into the ground. Aslong as it would cost under 500 bucks to fix, leave the body damage, fix the driveablity stuff.

And shop for a new car.

My issue with buying it back is that I know its going to cost a bit to fix it. Right now I cannot open the hood to fully see what is borked up, but at a glance from the out side I need, hood, fender, bumper, drivers side light, drivers side light mounting panel, rad core support, latch assembly and mounting plate.

Under the hood Im sure the radiator is tweaked. I have never had an issue with my car running hot, but now if I boost at all the temp climbs, if I sit at a light for a min the temp climbs, if I go on the highway the temp climbs... Basically there is something wrong under the hood, possibly fan related, but definitely something there. Plus my charger just started making all sorts of god awful noise... And the car has 189,xxx or there about on it.

I have been shopping for a new car yesterday and today. I should know by next Wednesday what the determination is if I get to keep it or not. If not, well, I dont have the time or the place to fix it so Im gonna cut my losses and get something else. Went and test drove a nice BMW 330i this afternoon.... :) Looking at a bunch of 3series BMWs, a couple Audi A4s and just found a nice looking Trans Am, but it has 200K on it... might check compression and seriously look at it. But I kinda need a 4 door car so It might not be the best choice...

The Camaro is nice, for a base model V6, but man, you cant see anything out of the back window! I was surprised and climbing in and out of it is interesting...

Well Insurance totaled mine out. Bought it on Dec 24th for 1800. Replaced the front brake rotors, plugs wires, and oil. Insurance paid me 2800 for it. Im happy. thousand dollars profit? thank you! Should be picking up a LT1 Trans Am tomorrow.
