brake caliper paint opinions...

Hello, my car is the blackish dark blue 2002 pontiac grand prix gtp. I am thinking about coloring the brake calipers and i need opinions on what color to paint them. right now im leaning towards either white or yellow or red. i plan to put black rims on it in the semi-near future, or black with chrome accents. any suggestions??? Thanks!!!:D

IMO, I don't think calipers should stand out unless they are monsters. Ours, even F body are not large and we aren't really sports cars. I paint mine black. They are clean looking and allow the person looking at the car to see the car, the rims and not the calipers.

Just what Bill said,if it wasn't such a pain I'ld paint mine in a heartbeat on my 04 compg. I've always thought it was tacky, some Porch(?) wannabe. I would have painted them when I did my rotors but all I had was black. It was my intention to do black initially but after some thought I decided silver would blend better, but didnt bother to get any. Guess I still have a sports car.

Black = subtle.....

i'd probably paint them the same color as your car with gloss finish also heat paint so it wont burn. I painted mine red because my car is black and it looks good.

I just painted mine today, went with "cast iron" (engine paint) because I agree with Bill, our brakes are tiny and shouldn't be a focus of attention. Also painted the rusted rotor parts flat black. Looks clean.
