Hey guys i just bought a grand prix for the winter , and i found this site out searching for information. Its a 97 GP SE L36 Naturally Aspirated , looking at this site i wish i found a gtp lol. I have 2 other cars i am working on ATM (in Sig) so I don't think ill be putting to much mods on this car , but I was wounding on how this car is on gas , and how many hp it has . I have always been a 2 door 5 speed kind of guy but getting in this GP is like pure luxury for me :) I think I can get used to it .

Welcome :D

The 3800 is a strong motor and there are MANY mods for these cars. They are rated @ 205HP and 230 ft. lbs. of torque from the factory.

You won't regret the purchase :)

even the se i have ?

Welcome! Just a few mods to the N/A motor, you will be able to keep up with most cars. I beat a 350z from a stop (just barely). Im dead even with my friends 08' si. These motors hold up extremly well to big builds. You could always do a top swap as well. :)

Welcome!

If it's just going to be a DD then replace all the gaskets and seals, monitor the fluids, and keep your air pressure at the correct psi. Unfortunately as soon as you step on the gas you'll be looking for more to do to it and it will no longer be a fuel efficient DD. But it will be one of the best cars you've owned!
