Is this my oxygen sensor? (see pictures) I need to replace it. This was closeted thing I found based on what the guy from Auto zone said and looks like the part he showed me, but it looks all taped up, how do I fix that??? I also notices my coolant was low and I added water a few months back and it has been doing fine and i also had it pressure check and there was no leaks, according to the shop that is. Few months later it was low again and I added water the other day and today when I was looking for my oxygen senor I notices a leak of water in my engine bay, based on the pictures where do you guys think it leaking from?

Center bottom with tape on it, is that oxygen sensor?

No, you front oxygen sensor is on the rear exhaust manifold. It is sticking straight up, can't miss it.

as far as the leak, that is condensation. Turn the AC off entirely, and I betcha it wont 'leak'

Sweet thanks ,Im a noob still:D Can you highlight it on the picture and re-upload it for me? :P

If your coolant mysteriously disappears probably a blowm LIM gasket.

Is that something a noob can fix? When I buy the oxygen sensor I am going to buy a vehicle maintenance book for my car.

None of your pictures show the rear of the engine.

This is the rear exhaust manifold. That little hole in the very center (below the letter M) is where the front oxygen sensor is.

Get a paper towel on that fluid to see what color it is.

O2 sensor is on the opposite side of the engine in the exhaust by the firewall.

is the GT eng a OHV? The guy at auto zone asked me that when printing out the part number I needed.

No. No it is not. They are all pushrod. Guy at autozone is retarded.

LOL found it I believe! Good to know, he would of made me get the wrong part! How do I get to it? just reach back there to unbolt it? The dumb guy at AZ showed be the tool I needed too. :D

This picture was not easy to pull off :D

if antifreeze is leaking can also check ur coolant elbows see if the seals have gone bad on them or if there cracked

Yep, that's your O2.

Remove the front motor mount brackets (dogbones) and rotate the engine forward to get a little more clearance. Unplug the connector on the O2 sensor, and un-screw it. Might need a little convincing with some PB blaster/heat. They like to get stuck on.

az lets u rent tools and you get ur money back its only like 50 bucks i think you will need someting to slide over or around the wire so yo can break the sensor loose and they have tools designed just for that sensor and you can just use your own ratchet

The dog bones is the 2 blacks things connect to the eng to the front of the car right? I remove thous and pull the eng towards me right? Then what is PB blaster? :(
