Looking for cam suggestions...

Im looking for suggestions for a motor i am building. Im looking at either a S1X with 1.8rr or an IS3 with 1.7rr. I already have 130# valve springs and titanium retainers. Some other info im also adding a gen v and intercooler and headers. Im looking to maximize these mods. I speced the lifts out and the S1X comes out with more overall lift but im unsure about the other differences in the cam. This will be hooked up to a manual transmission. Thanks

What are you looking for out of this motor? Max horsepower?

The IS3 with stock rockers will make more power than either combination you have listed above. That is what I would recommend.

Im shooting for over 370whp out of this motor. The car isnt going to be a track queen and i do plan on driving it on the street. Why are you suggesting stock rocker ratio over the 1.7s?

If you want that much power, you should probably get the XPZ.

Stock rockers will give you more lift with higher lift cams than a set of roller 1.7's.

I would rather have less lift and wear/friction on the valvetrain with roller rockers than the stock ones.

xpz has proven to make the most power consistantly... the IS3 is not setup for a m90 at all.

I would be more inclined to the XPZ if I could find more information on it like the specs that arent listed on their website. Why isnt the IS3 not for an m90 car? The IS4 is supposed to be for bigger blower cars

while you may think that the fancy ass roller rockers are indeed way better.. the reality is they are heavier, and produce less lift than stock.

Plus, I've never seen a stock rocker break or wear out. But, I've seen multiple roller rockers break and wear out.
