OK, I HAD a 97 Gp Gtp, I bought HIDs for it, connected them straight to the harness, instantly got flickering in the dash lights, headlights flickered, etc. Then I got a relay harness, it stopped all of the problems.

My problem is that my 97 Gp Gtp was my second car, my first was a 2000 Alero, which I too had HIDs for BUT were connected to the stock harness and never had any flickering or dash problem's... now I have a 02 Gp Gtp sexy ass beast and I've ordered my 5000k kit, now has anyone had any problems with the 2000+ yr Gp's and HIDs? Can I connect them straight go the harness and not expect any issues?

I have ordered a relay harness just in case of any problems, but I rather not have to use it.

Go with the harness to be safe. I have hids in my 00 and they flicker a little bit without a harness but with a harness they work great.

heres my thoughts on the relay harness and headlights... Even when using normal bulbs such as my silverstars I always build a relay harness for them. I used my DMM on the factory headlight plugs and was measuring 11.xx volts. after building the Relay harness I now read right at 14.4. Much better, brighter, whiter output.

My point is always when you upgrade lighting get a relay harness. Easy to build and cheap to.

As to cleaning the headlight lenses... I wetsand with 600, 800, 1200, then 1500. Then buff and polish. then wax a few coats. Or sometimes if Im going with clearcoat I will go 600, 800, 1000, then paint multiple coats, cure and wetsand with 1500 and polish then wax.
