Im going to a pick and pull tomm and looking for a few things mainly a alternator bracket for a gen v swap is the n/a s/c bracket the same?

you only need to change the alt bracket if your installing a IC. on a 97 or 98 i think. gen V will fit if thats all your doing.

I have a 98 the alternator is mounted slightly diffierent from what i understand and the it is difficult to install on the 98 style

At least according to what i read on threads on here its easier with the different style bracket

his quote.

7) Alternator
Unfortunately, the alternator and its bracket can cause some issues when swapping this blower onto your L67. Generally, the 97-98 alternator and bracket will NOT work. The solution is to swap to a 99+ bracket and alternator.

you tell me why the alt would be in the way? the dimensions are about the same. like i said earleir, you need to change it if you are adding a IC so the hoses can be run through the belts.

this thread, talks about that bracket, and has pics of why it needs to be changed, for a IC. thats a inter cooler in case your not sure. you'll see the pipes hit the bracket.

Well i apreciate the info but and glad i dont need more s*** but still confused as to why the thread says i needed it

its the internet, its not 100% all the time, hell im even wrong sometimes, but this im pretty sure about.

im planning on this swap myself with another engine i want to build up some. so i ve looked up all this stuff myself already., and i have a 98, so if i get a ic ill be changing the bracket and alt. if my new engines not newer.

Maybe you guys could answer this question to are the bolts the same for the l32 lim to bolt to engine?

Yes.. same 12 LIM bolts. The only thing different on an L32 manifold from an L67 manifold is the size of the opening in the top.
