importing a car is going to cost a lot, but you will have one of the few in the country.

sometimes it can be worth it if you find the right deal. container ships are getting cheaper and cheaper everyday to utilize.
 
I've looked into getting an ute. Shipping alone is 3k to the coast with a low price shipper, plus doccumentation fees, etc. More than likely you'll be anywhere from 5k-10k by the time you're done for the importing process.
 
Don't get me wrong, if I was wealthy I would do it. Its just not justifiable in this economy for most citizens to be spending 1/5th of a cars value to get it imported. Especially with the average age of members of this forum, no offense.

Some day an UTE will be mine... Some day...
 


well, you're right about one thing: this is a grand prix forum and all of us are poor. either that or stupid because it's a wbody.
 
Lol nobody here has executed themselves as stupid, at least not to me. We all make due with what we have. That being said this thread and the whole forum is about great cars, ugly or not. I love the pontiacs.
