Zach's new 05 gtp much slowz

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

Yup! just still trying to figure out how to get rid of the keyless entry headlight flash and auto on headlights

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

To get rid of the auto headlights I yanked the DRL fuse I think. I use LED strips for the DRLs instead.

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

Alright I remember commenting on you're pics on instagram about the headlights a few days ago, but where did you get the foglights??
Can you post a link to them

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

Little bump. I ordered some led's for christmas and these were the first in! I also got a reflective inlay from reflective concepts (thank you) that i will put in when it gets warmer!

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

Got a couple questions on your fog housings that you got. My car shat a $20 foglight bulb and my housings are so rusty and aimed all crappy that I'm getting new ones for HIDs. Are you currently running HIDs in them and if so what color temp and wattage? How well do you like them? Is there anything you don't like about them?

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

they are straight on my screen lol. but right now i have the hella optilux 2500 foglight housings that i modified to fit my stock bracket. I have 35w 5k hids in it, but its a h3 bulb to use in the new foglight housings. if you want to keep your stock housing its an 880 bulb and you cant run hotter than a 6k bulb i think. i had an 8k and melted mine, then got these and i love them! they are super bright and light up everything just take your time and aim them right. yes mine are a little high, but its hard to change the bracket. http://www.grandprixforums.net/halo-fog-install-20769.html#post935956 i used this method because hella's lights are identical to our supporting vendor automatcentral i just found them for $50 i think and $10 for an ebay bulb

My stock fogs are going bye bye.. They are crap now pretty much. Can't aim them or anything anymore and HIDs will just melt them. I'm kinda leaning towards projector fogs but we will see. I just figured now would be an ideal time to upgrade because come summer I will retrofit my headlights and I want the fogs to match.

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

Yeah im on my ipod now and its upside down too, interesting! But i thought about projector fogs and they are nice, but more expensive and then one guy who installed them said they started taking in water. I am extremely happy with my lights and highly reccommend them!

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

Yea I saw that too. I'm going to look into it and see if there can be anything to fix the leak. It sounded like a vent in it allowed water in. Maybe there is a way to fix that problem but if not I will go with foglights with glass lenses.

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

Alright. sounds good and cant wait to se the retro because i wanted to do one, just not super confident in doing it lol.

Re: Zach's blue 2000 gt coupe

Well there is a guy a few streets over who has a 97 gtp for sale and i was wondering you opinions on it? "147k I don't remember them all but ill try...magnaflow exhaust, zzp downpipe, zzp powerlog manifolds, 1.9 rockers, 3.25 pulley, intake, msd coils and wires, autolite 103s, 180 t-stat, hids, ram air hood, spoiler, mustang gt rims, taillights, tuned at zzp. Also have stock rims with winter tires. Rockers are starting to rust like they do on all these cars. The rust is underneath. You can't see any rust when looking at the outside of the car." Thats what he said and i have seen it from a distance but never up close and it looks pretty good. Don't the 97's have crappy trans'? give me your thoughts please and thanks!
