4t80e swap into grandprix

i was wondering if a 4t80e can be swap into a gtp if not what would be the best stock trans to mate up with a built 3800 with out having to buy a zzp trans
 




wow thats my last investment im buying a 95 gp se next week to swap my built l67 into it so yeah could i use my trans in that frame or the 1 in it and if i do get to use my hd do i have to make my own cvs to fit into the 95 hub?
 


That's ***** **** to that trans.

As for how hard of a swap...

Do you like drilling into the block?
Are you skilled enough to wire the trans harness in?
Can you fabricate new mounts for the placement of the transmission?
New axles... Custom size I believe.
Tuning the computer for the Trans.
Drilling the flex plate for the 4t80 converter.

That's most of it.
 
you wont find a trans thatll hold the power you want to make for less than 2k.
i can almost guarantee that lol
 
Idk why gm ****ed up like this.. They give the bullet proof trans to the ****ty fail wheel drive v8s...and the bullet proof engines get the glass transmission
 


how hard is swapping the outer shell out ? besides im swapping my built motor and whatever trans i get into a 95 the best gps IMO
 
You could probably find a junkyard trans for WAY less than $1k that will hold you over while you save up for decent built one.
