• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Project 11 (M90 All Out)

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you bro that you don't have the dreaded 100 mile motor! So far, it looks awesome!

Watch his vids def seems like he's not taking any short cuts and this won't be some average quick throw it together block. Esp with the rotating assembly balanced I would be suprised if it doesn't hold together. That cam and heads with e85 @ 7k rpm is gonna be mean. Ati balancer might be some added insurance but I think the crank was already balanced with the stock dampner?

Yeah. I did everything I possibly could do (in terms of machine work). I really just wanna build a racing block that can handle all things M90 (with the exception of excessive kr obviously). Steve at Thorsens really helped walk me thru all the trouble spots and schooled me on how to do it right. He's expensive , but his track record is what makes up the difference. If there is any misshaps, It would be because of a mistake I made in reassembly.

The crank might still not be happy that it was micro polished, although it shouldn't be too unhappy if it was cut at a low enough temperature. If you ever had to cut any material off it most likely is going to be really mad.

You still need to get stock rockers back on there... you are really costing yourself lift and an extra 800rpm that those heads can actually use.

After Steve looked at it, he suggested that I don't micro polish. He sid the crank looked perfect on all the journals. And that it wouldn't get much better than what I had. Now this was , of cours, after I wrote the mods in the thread. I was skeptical, but now that you mentioned it, I'm glad I listened!

I don't remember but don't stock rockers actually have better geometry with the pushrods which would also be key for your rpm target???

how much longer do you think to first start up? cant wait to see this. i have always followed your videos on youtube

First Startup was today. Didn't take it out because I'm looking at an injector pulse issue before I give it revs. Don't need anything that would risk a good AFR before I learn the limits of the car. So basically, I have to drive the hell out of it just once. I wouldn't advise my type of driving for anyone when I have to "relearn" my car".

If I don't, it would mean an almost for sure accident if I ever have to make a fast decision while driving hard. Half of the suspension is different in this new shell. But in the short time I've had it, it's been a blast. Just gotta get used to the extra power in the revs and a much different power curve with the 3X instead of the XP.

Video footage of my "relearning" being considered.

I've watched all of your other vids on YouTube and can't wait to see this next one. The pics look good too, I hope all your hard work pays off.

Probably. Only reason I won't run them on the street is because of the benefits of the roller tip for the entire valvetrain. Scott knows his stuff and I'm sure the stock rockers will make a few more ponies, but I'd only install them at the track or on the dyno to compare. I drive on the street a lot and I'm still investigating a lot of alleged issues regarding stock rockers and valve tip wear on heavy builds.

Thank you!
damn man you move fast as hell

If I would have figured out the injector issue, it would have been 7 weeks from start to finish.

what exactly is up with the injector issue?

No pulse. The only way I can start the car is by pouring e85 in the injector ports. It runs for a few seconds until the fuel burns off. Very annoying. I've got good pressure at the rails. The fuel pump is good. All fuses are good. Crank and cam sensors are good. All the grounds are good, the coils are firing. No vac leaks. Just an annoying injector issue where none of them want to fire.

so where abouts in mi are you? If i'm not mistaken your around flint right? I could use a guy who knows wtf they are doing if you ever wanted to make a extra $$$ on the side to help me out.

very nice project by the way. Can't wait to see this thing running. Good luck
