What lowering springs for best ride, and no alignment/camber issues - 2006 GP GT

I want to keep the car as stock as possible but I hate wheel gap.. SSC and ZZP ( which look almost identical, with the same drop ) are the few I've come across.. Im not racing this, Im not on a road course, but I would like to minimize the wheel gap as much as possible.. I will have about 150 Lbs of audio in the trunk so anything with a 1.5" FR , 1" or less for the rear would be perfect

I got my SSC's from Canuck Motorsports for 200. They dropped the front and back the same, closer to 2 inches.

Hows the ride? and is there any alignment/camber issues? I dont want to change a thing on this car, but the wheel gap... and the radio :)

my compg was somewhat "stiff" before...nothing to drastic of a ride difference....had an alignment done about 500 miles before the spring swap and honestly didnt even bother with it after, everything appears normal cept the diminished wheel gap

vogtland springs are the least drop and ride pretty close to stock. i won't even bring up DNA springs because they are cheap ebay trash, but i'm sure someone will.

the next step down, that'll be lower by maybe another half inch to an inch max. those would be SSC, wbody, zzp. all the same spring, really.

then you go lower with eibach and B&G. the lowest you can go is intrax, but you'll never find those springs for sale anyway.

ALL of these springs can be run without alignment issues granted that you take your car in for an ALIGNMENT! camber bolts or slotting the struts may be necessary to give a proper alignment, but that's all part of the territory. i have a big thread in this section that is stickied that kind of goes through all of this. have you read it?

thanks , link?

SSC springs offer a very clean drop and I love how they ride.

Like I said in my first post ... zzp and ssc look identical .. same drop and all, But when you bring your car in for an alignment, dont they go off factory specs?

So, where in Wisconsin are you from

Kicking around the same thing you are for my 04 GTP. Its kinda down there on the priority list but its there....peekin

I guess you havent done alot of suspension swapping??

Anytime you buy new struts and install lowering springs an alingment is normally needed. There is always a small chance that when you throw everything back together that the camber is almost the same or just more negative. Which in the end just wears the inner edge of the tire more. You could just not care at all and just run it or get an alignment done with camber adjustments if needed and be free of odd wear on the tires.

that still wasnt the answer I was looking for.. I know you need alignments after certain ( yet most ) suspension /drivetrain mods or issues... I was just trying to fint out if a certain spring or kit lowered the car without having major issues or weird camber readings

Lowest lowering springs you can go with is Vogtlands which are almost impossible to find. Your next option are Zzp or SSC. Haven't heard enough about the Zzp springs to recommend them nor do I enjoy their customer service so I avoid buying from them as much as possible. Get the SSC mild drop shouldn't need a camber kit but again you will find out if you do after a alignment or you could have the struts slotted. With lowering it you take the change of something breaking prematurely. All of this has been answered in Bios thread.
