but i need to know what its used for an also its making a pretty loud ticking noise.. i actually put my hand on it and i can feel it clicking

on the fuel rail, that would be the fuel pressure regulator.

or a injector clicking like mad.

no not the fpr.. its the cylinder looking thing has an electronic plug also
