i would have liked to see this run continue to higher speeds. just curious as to what would happen.

Ya I wonder how it would've been if we went up past 100. I'd love the gxp for the interior, styling, comfort, and v8 sound oppose to my GTP. But since my car can be modded for cheap to run quicker than them, idk. Still respect the gxp.
 


I would even wanna go that fast. If i got up that high i'd just let off no matter what I'd think. Good to know my car has more punch than that guy's. Yay torque. Doesn't feel like it though.
 
how do you think your's compares to that guys? I know his mods are unknown but think you have a guess since you have some mods? I think....

don't tell my fiancé that, she is points champ 3 years in a row at the local drag strip

also I have had my gxp to almost 150 but past 130 a lot and the car is fine also GXP interior and comfort LOL that comment is full of fgt. my 99 monte drove 1000 times better, my seats suck. I cant wait to ditch the gxp for an m5 in a couple years.

Outdated ugly gauges, 110mph speedo, cheapy ugly colored buttons and dials...etc, yea the interior could have used more work back in the day.
 


Had mine to 142 before fuel shut off. That was full stock. I'm slowly still working timing and I'll test top speed again. It's nothing to boil the tires at 25mph roll.
 
Idk, all im saying is im glad my car has just about the same punch as a GXP, although I'd rather have a gxp for multiple reasons. Main reason is sound. But knowing my GTP can go even further, plus low miles, might as well be happy with what I got and the future projects.
 
I guess i'll never know that really? I've floor the new regal turbo gs, and it seemed slow but I guess it's pretty quick. Didn't feel like it though, so maybe you're right about the GXP thing. But I just know my car pulled harder than his so that's what I'm assuming.
