Aftermarket Spoiler

There is a Grand AM style spoiler. I think you can get the knockoff spoiler on eBay and AndysAutosport.com. That spoiler was on the 300GPX but it nvr made it to the production GPs.

and looks better than this aftermarket spoiler:

You are on crack! That is the god spoiler for the 97-03's

Edit: (non se models)

Please be more specific than just "i don't like it". Personally I think it looks better than the oem and looks better than this aftermarket spoiler

A) ^ Not aftermarket. SLP Gen1 amazing spoiler puts your "custom" one to shame. Nobody likes polka-dots. Just looks off. A park-bench would have been a better spoiler, at least would have looked like you tried to say you spent money on it. That looks like you went to a Junk Yard and said maybe this will fit and got lucky.

B) It does throw off the curves ALOT. Straight edge on the bubble butt just doesn't work.

C) If you want something different there are lots of other options. Depending on your plans various others will add a look that is different but not crazy. PFYC.com offers the SLP Gen 1 or 2 spoiler along with their own SD Spoiler. There is also the 40th Ann/Daytona Spoiler, or you could go crazy with the Wing West but you already said you didn't like it so ya.

Either way not a fan, but if you like it more power to ya. Go converse with HeavyD, he has a style all his own, he's happy. Its different but we let him do what he wants. Maybe you can get some pointers. :th_thumbsup-wink:

The 300GPX didn't have a Grand AM style spoiler: Pontiac 300 GPX - Exclusive Road Test! Photo Gallery - Motor Trend That trim is nice though, wonder why it never made it into GP production.

I don't like the rims you have on your car. You don't like my spoiler. To each their own you know?

Still not a fan, even with the other shots. Its not OH MY GOD NO!!!! but just kinda :th_sick1: to me. If you like it good for you.

Reason was because with the intercooler, Ramair, smaller pulley, and upgraded suspension it out performed the Corvette and hauled more whores with all 4 doors. Yes I rhymed. Poet.

GM couldn't have its sports-sedan dominating over its flagship, so it pulled the intercooler, pulley'd up, and ran a sports suspension and let it trail behind.

It doesn't look that bad. I've seen worse.

Do what you like, its your ride.
Thanks. And TLSheff, I could have gotten a better more expensive spoiler like some I saw while shopping around, but I'm not going to fork that much money into a 13 year old car. That spoiler was only 69.00 ;-). And to your earlier comment, I didn't get lucky with the fitting. The holes for the two spoiler didn't line up and I had to fill in the holes from the existing spoiler and drill new ones.

Besides the ones I listed, HeavyD is the only one to go a different way. Most stay with normal options or just go naked and remove it all together.

Fixed

300GPX was ~300hp
1995 Camaro ~265
1995 Corvette ~300 for the LT1 ~330 for the LT4

No no Mr. Smartypants. It ran faster Quarter times than the LT1/LT4 Vette, remember 96 was when the GPX was a concept looking for its spot in the 97 lineup. The LS1 debuted in 97 with the C5. But go race a LT1 with a intercooler modded GTP and see what you do to it.

I dont see why more GP owners don't change out the spoiler to a better one. Personally I think the one they used throws of the sporty look of the car.

TLSheff if you do not like this thread then don't post in it. I was simply wanting opinions from fellow GP owners on what they thought of my spoiler and if anyone else has changed the spoiler out as well. No one is forcing you to reply to this thread so stop being a arse. Like comments such as a bench would of looked better. Seriously dude?

I fell in love with the one that came on my 2003 LE <3

Here it is (was just about to buff my tails; once she's cleaned up in spring I'll have better pics!)

A cpl of those were grand AMS. But then again every time i go to cardomain.com from my phone it never works right. Ads n pop-ups interfere. Never happens anywhere else but their page.
