Hey guys quick ? what is the best fully synthentic motor oil to use, just want to know the best one for our aspen since we are getting our first oil change for it tomorrow. our oil is 5W-20, so which one you guys think is the best one to use for the money one thats great for the engine and the car and helps it really well in terms of long life and preformance. The suv only has 60k miles. Thanks

If you want to honestly know that answer. Bobistheoilguy.com is your place to find the info. There's so many variables on vehicles that you want to really read up on it.

Whatever you want really, this has been covered alot.

Just make sure you keep it running on 5w20 or 0w20, dont bump to 5w30.

You dont have to run synthetic either, its always a personal choice.

Answer is: whatever results in the best UOA for your vehicle.

How to get there? Try them and have the oil tested afterwards.

Some people actually prefer second tier oils to top tier. For example: Pennzoil platinum to ultra.

There are reasons, but they matter more or less dependent on your vehicle as well as how and where you drive it.

Thanks for all the replys we ended up using castrol full synethic and the car runs pretty good. thanks again guys

Benn using that since car was new has 305,000 miles on it now, looking in the filler neck it all looks pretty clean in there

When i had my GP i used to use quakerstate Q horsepower oil fully synthetic but they dont make them anymore and just why i asked which oil was better

The guys that did the change i think put the right filter, this time we forgot but next time we get a change we will hand pick the filter our selfs so we know which one is in the car. The one on right now is i believe some cheap style one called Fram.

i would grap an oil pan, take off that FRAM and install a real filter. Top off the oil when done, it won't take very much-maybe 1/2 a quart.

Yeah, like a fram xg3387a.

Best filter out there.

Prove me wrong.
I hear all kinds of bad about fram but I been using xg's since I bought my car new in 97 its got 305,000 on it now I just switched to K&N last oil change because of all the bad I heard (plus I got the filter free)
