ok so im constantly seeing everybody with pictures of doing shiz to the motor.. now granted i dont have the supercharger.. i got the series 2 3800 in a 2000 gt and i got 174k on her.. im a 19 year old who isnt all about racing an revin.. i could care less about burnouts and all that.. i drive it like a caddy.. but still love working on it an learning new stuff.. but my question is.. with my car having 174k miles what type of maintenance should i do to it.. for instence rocker arms.. push rods.. gaskets.. hoses.. this or that.. im just curious thats all

No prob. And if you get stuck in the middle of it, we're always here there's usually always someone online who has done it before and give you some direction with it. :)

Maintenance wise. I would check the LIM gaskets. If plastic, replace them. Automatically plug the coolant ports to the upper manifold. Reason for that is with a few minutes of work you can keep the most common killer of the NA motor from happening to you.

Here's what happens.

And here's how to plug the LIM to keep the issue from being possible. No coolant in the UIM means it can't fail.
