Powerstop drilled and slotted rotors, any good?

Hello

I am replacing the brakes on my 02 Gt and came across this kit More Information for POWER STOP K2554
Wondering if anyone has used these before and if they are any good. My car is just a daily driver, but I like the look of these and the fact that the rotors are plated and wont rust is ideal as I am sick of seeing my rusty rotors though my rims. Any feedback is appreciated!
Thanks.

x3 for R1s. Love mine. Next buy will be for the 12" upgrade and will spend the extra for the Premium line, but the E-lines have worked very nicely for DD and some track days, say 30k (ish) miles and just over 2 years.

I have them. The only thing I don't like is how much noise they make from a high-speed stop.

Please elaborate?

Drills and slots don't do anything, ebay rotors are of cheap quality.

Sure they'll probably withstand the typical driver, which honestly most of you probably are.

However if you're hard on brakes, then you want quality stuff.

As mentioned, My car is a daily driver and I'm not hard on brakes at all. My biggest reason for liking these is the coating they have on them to avoid rust. I do like the look of them as well. Since I really only drive to and from work, I don't feel I need to spend hundreds on top quality brake components.

I don't really car what all the manufacturer's/vendor's state about their coatings, they will eventually start to rust.

This. Even the coated from R1 will rust eventually. Everytime I wash the car by the time I'm done the area where the pad rubs will already be copper colored. The rest of the rotor still looks nice, no problems out of them, even checked for cracks and they are solid.
Matt is right tho, other than looks the D/S Rotors do nothing but make noise. They do look cool but that is it. If you just want function you can save money and just get solid rotors and really good quality pads.

Pads will make a bigger difference in stopping than rotors ever could. Unless you get into rotor size, but that is a different thread.

I have bad braking habits and ALWAY warp rotors. So far these power stop rotors have not warped/cracked. so I can be ok with with that, lol.

Please don't buy drilled rotors. They crack and have reduced heat dispersing ability vs non-drilled rotors. The slots aren't a horrible idea, they help to evac gasses and keep the pad clean. I had R1 (their top of the line) slotted on my car and they were warped and cracking within a year. I went to DBA slotted for the past two years and they're holding up great.

i put the powerstop front PWR-K1586 and rear PWR-K1602 slotted drilled rotor and pad combos from summit racing on my 04GTP. the exact kit you are looking at. the install was a breeze, they look at perform much better than the stockers i took off. i live in Florida so light rusting is common from the sea air but these are really holding up well. overall very impressed for the price point.

Most dont really abuse their brakes and will never have this issue.

How long have you been running them for?

since about may/june and i commute 60+ miles daily and beat the piss out of my car on a regular, road-rage, basis lol
