trans match up

the trans out of a s/c 97 regal would it be able to match up to my 97 gtp. i know you cant take the trans out of a 1998 gtp and put it in the 97 because of the vacuum assist, so will a 97 regal trans go perfectly in the 97 gtp
 




How bout the PCM would I have to change anything on my PCM so the trans will work

Holy crap...

All 97+ SC'd cars had the 4T65 HD with 2.93 gearing except the Comp G.

I put a 98 Regal trans into a 96 Riv (yeah..that's right lol) then that same trans went into a 98 PA Ultra

just wanted to make sure cuz i was told i couldnt by a friend whom i trust with working on these cars
 
Uh...no. Dealer will have a different part number etc based on it being enough of a different vehicle some times.

Cliff...when in actual doubt. Send Dave at TEP an email and .....make sure you mention I said hi. lol
 


I'm just gonna order a tk trans when I get back to the states and get my taxes back
