Today's update...mostly about the Jeep. I spent a good portion of the day removing the oil pan so my dad could fix the rust on it so it'd stop puking oil. I also replaced the steering stabilizer to help stop the dreaded death wobble.
As far as the GP, it went on its first road test. WOW. That's the only way to describe it. The car feels entirely different being a 5 speed and I haven't even boosted it yet. The clutch slipped a little in 4th on the first road test, but that's related to either flywheel thickness of clutch master cylinder rod length. To remedy the situation, added a spacer between the trans and clutch slave cylinder. The clutch now grabs great. I drove it up and down the hill a handful of times...it was loud as hell without the exhaust, but it left a grin from ear to ear. I then put it on the lift when I was done with Jeep repairs, and installed the rear bumper cover, fuel filler neck, rear trailing arm brackets, and the GMPP exhaust. It's a lot quieter now. Still need to adjust the exhaust tips, but that can happen easily enough. Exhaust was finished being installed less than 1/2 hour ago, so adjusting the tips can wait until tomorrow.
I'm running out of fun things to update about. The car is about to begin bodywork...which isn't near as fun as building or driving. Damn, I can't wait to drive it again!!!
