i`ll get on this tom asap but my car just drops rpms when I have to brake excessivley is this what you mean by stumbling at idle Scottydoggs?
 


sounds simple wheres the catch??? Ill have to bleed the hell out of the braking system right? If so whats the best possible wayi can bleed the system, ill do this along with my rotors, and brakes soon think I might have to wait thinking about ordering SS brake lines.

yes, rpm drop could be a vac leak.

heres a seafoam vid, the guy had his thumb over the hose, as soon as he lets it go it almost stalls till he pinches the hose, you can see the hose sucking in the seafoam too.




your only going to have to bleed the brakes if you need to take the lines off the master to remove the master. some have them flex lines on the master.

what year is this car again?
 
get new rotors, once warped they re warp if cut. ss lines, up to you.

if you want better brakes get the f bodys upgrade on the car, i love mine, stops way better then the stock stuff.

ive seen a few sets going for a fair prices here on the board, or hit up a junk yard.
 
Its a 05 impala SS, also I already have drill/slotted rotors for the front and rear? EBC red stuff. So go to the local junkyard and look for a gm f body like a camaro etc
 
yes, like a 2000. you need the caliper, the caliper brackets and bolts, the brake lines and new rotors.

and then you need some sleeves to put in the knuckle so the f body caliper bracket bolts center up, or drill and tap the f body brackets to use the stock caliper bracket bolts, the stock bolts are fatter then the f bodys.

dont the impalas have the better brakes? then the gp and regals? id look into that, if they are already a larger disk running what you have they may be almost as good. with out all the swapping.
 


Alright so before I order anything brake booster vacuum lines fine along with the brake booster tree on the blower. Before I order anything what do all I need just the remanufactured brake booster from the dealer they said it doesnt come with the master cylinder? Should I get a new master cylinder also?
 
k thanks i`ll order it, any tips on the best way to bleed the braking system? Shouldnt I just bleed and drain all the brake fluid and replace? Back to the leaky booster I can start to hear a faint whistle or air suction under the dash pretty sure this is the brake booster loosing its seal and this is the noise i`m hearing?
 


they wanted 300+for just the brake booster and my buddy told me to call parks he said thats not right for us to order the same part for 200+ dollars more glad cheverolets nice
 
good chance its leaking.

the booster has zero to do with any brake fluid. its power assist for the pedal. its what makes power brakes, power brakes. lol


if you want tho it is a good idea to flush the brake fluid, it gets old dirty, and burnt. you can just keep bleeding the brakes till clean fluid comes out. at each caliper.

if you have a old turkey baster, you can suck out almost all the old fluid in the master, then top it off with new and then start bleeding them.

R/R first, L/R second, R/F third, then the L/F .
 
thanks for the bleeding sequence, I`m about to post some pics of a new find in my evap vacuum line its right where it connects to the throttle body.

could this be part of my issue? I noticed it the other day when I was checking my brake booster line and booster tree at the blower.
 


sorry not a clue.

but im sure you could make that. get a fat piece of hose,(that fits the nipple) cut the broken part off and stick the old hose into the new hose that fits the nipple.
 
I was thinking for a couple mins of cutting some larger vacuum hose like you suggested so that would work, obvioulsy its better then it being there with the crack at the nipple

Fixed evap vacuum still no differences guess will see what happens with the new brake booster whenever I get into intstall will post pics
