hi i own a 96 gtp its throwing codes p0441 evap emission control system incorrect purge flow and p1655 evap purge solenoid controll circuit. i know this is all emissions BS i was wondering if there was a way to remove it or what do i have to do to fix it.

You will need the codes removed from the PCM. I had all the emissions stuff removed on my LQ1. Evap egr rear o2 and air pump. I also made a spark table that greatly improves the engines low to min range power band. If your interested in a tuned PCM or just want the codes removed PM me.

agreed. the air pump system has two ports into the exhaust. these have a tip that is about 1/2" wide and sticks more then an inch inside the exhaust stream. this is not a major restriction but a restriction that doesn't need to be there. basiclly remove the two air pump flex lines and the EGR flex line. cut them so there is only the nut left. for the air pump ones you can place a penny in the hole and screw them back in. i would recommend finding an older 1970's or older penny as these are all copper vs the newer penny's that are zinc. for the EGR you can pack it full of Quick Steel epoxi. this is exactly what i did and i never had any issues. but you will need the PCM adjusted to remove the codes for these systems.

Does deleting the emissions codes actually change anything on/in the car itself? Also what do you need to program the PCM? I have a OBD2 usb adapter for my laptop

Depends on what you want gone.

You'd need a tuning software that can get inside the PCM and custom tune it, like delete codes and change how the car runs. A usb adapter for a laptop cant do it.
